Choreographic Mentorship & Networking Program

Mentorship and networking program led by choreographer & director David Herrera of David Herrera Performance Company. The 12-month program is designed with the purpose of advising emerging Latinx dance artists (mentees) on ways to develop their professional artistic voices, production, choreography, content, and long-term career goals.

The program's second  focus will be to create a network with other regional and national Latinx artists;  thus developing a rich and thriving Latinx community of dance artists, presenters, curators, and collaborator.    Furthermore, other established professional  dance artists will serve as guest speakers throughout the year, expanding the knowledge base and network of participants.

Originally from Santa Ana, I moved to San Francisco in 2014 to pursue my BA in Dance and Sociology at San Francisco State University. I graduated Cum Laude in May of 2018. Since then, I have been an after-school Site Coordinator and volunteer frequently with marginalized youth and Queer-Safe spaces. I have had the honor to work with Victor Talledos as well as David Herrera and Tanya Chaianese for the Sandbox Series at ODC.
