Choreographic Mentorship & Networking Program

Mentorship and networking program led by choreographer & director David Herrera of David Herrera Performance Company. The 12-month program is designed with the purpose of advising emerging Latinx dance artists (mentees) on ways to develop their professional artistic voices, production, choreography, content, and long-term career goals.


The program's second  focus will be to create a network with other regional and national Latinx artists;  thus developing a rich and thriving Latinx community of dance artists, presenters, curators, and collaborator.    Furthermore, other established professional  dance artists will serve as guest speakers throughout the year, expanding the knowledge base and network of participants.

Jocelyn Reyes

Describe yJocelyn Reyes is a contemporary choreographer, performer and teaching artist based in San Francisco. She earned a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Cognitive Science at UCLA, and began presenting choreographic works in venues around the Los Angeles area including Bootleg Theater, REDCAT Studio and Curtis Theater. In 2017, Reyes relocated to San Francisco where she founded her company REYES Dance. Since then she has shown in various festivals and has presented her first home season in 2019.
