The Company
Lacy Gandenberger is originally from San Jose, California, where she began dancing at the age three. In Northern California, Lacy trained with Teen Dance Company and Dance Attack where she was blessed to work with choreographers like Mike Esperanza, Jen Bradford, Carlos Jones, Jennifer Backhaus, Heather Cooper, and Cheryl Copeland. Lacy received her BA in Dance and a minor in Fashion Textiles from California State Long Beach. At CSULB Lacy worked with choreographers such as Lorin Johnson, Susan McLain, Andy Vaca, Keith Johnson, Holly Johnson, and Gerald Casel. She was the recipient of the Lana Alper Award and the Fine Arts Affiliates Scholarship. In southern California, Lacy danced professionally with Nickerson Rossi Dance for two years and had the pleasure of performing with the company at the Celebrate Dance Festival. Lacy returned to the Bay Area after college and is really enjoying the dance culture in San Francisco. Lacy also teaches yoga in San Jose at Be the Change Yoga & Wellness and enjoys taking class in her free time. Lacy joined David Herrera Performance Company in 2013.
Brittany Harris-Espinoza is a professional dancer with a strong passion for fitness, nutrition, and happy living. Starting dance at the age of three, Brittany began her formal training in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. While attending college she danced and performed with the University Dance Theatre for 3 consecutive years. After graduating with a B.A. in Dance from San Francisco State University, she continued into the profession of Fitness with the NASM Certified Personal Trainer program while completing a summer program at San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Under Summer Lee Rhatigan direction, she got to work with Batsheva Dance Company dancers and learn the movement language of Gaga technique. Brittany joined David Herrera Performance Company in 2014.
Kathryn Florez is an Ohio native who has been living in SF since 2010. Previously in Chicago, she was a scholarship student at Lou Conte Dance Studio and trained privately with Homer Hans Bryant. In 2010, she began training at the SF Conservatory of Dance under Summer Lee Rhatigan and had the opportunity to perform works by Sharon Eyal, Alex Ketley, Robert Moses, and more. Over the past years, Kathryn has worked professionally with Amy Seiwert, Robert Moses, Lindsey Renee Derry, and Stephanie Salts. Kathryn founded Fullstop Dance in late 2015 and has since shown work at ODC Theater, Palace of Fine Arts, Dance Mission Theater, Cowell Theater, and others.She also works with ZiRu Dance under the direction of Philein Wang. Kathryn has been on staff as a ballet and contemporary teacher at CityDance Studios for the past four years. This is her first season with David Herrera Performance Company.
Lynda Zepeta Gutierrez received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at UC Santa Barbara. She has trained and performed with Bay Area choreographers in modern dance, as well as Colombian Folkloric dance. With seven years of working in the fitness and health industry, Lynda has created and runs LG FIT - Dance | Fitness | Joy - dance fitness / body conditioning classes and online fitness coaching, where being active goes from simply exercising to taking on a journey of SELF LOVE and SELF EMPOWERMENT. The amazing journey of being the creator of her own business, a performer, a wife, and mother has been fueled with the values of love, empathy, and respect. Lynda previously performed with DHPCo. from 2011-2013 and returned this season.
Jillian Claire Miller has dipped her toes professionally dancing in the Bay Area, New York, Cuba, and Israel and has loved the fulfillment and growth it has brought her. She merges her dance career into her teaching life as a Pilates and Yoga teacher. She has dance with Krissy Keefer's Dance Brigade, Ramon Rayos Alaya, Dawson Dance SF. This is Jillian's first season with DHPCo.
